Cross My Heart and Hope to SPY
Cammie may have a genius I.Q., but there are still a lot of things she doesn't know. Like, will her ex-boyfriend even remember she exists? And how much trouble is she really in after what happened last semester? And most of all, why is her mother acting so strangely?
Despite Cammie's best intentions to be a normal student, danger seems to follow her. She and her friends learn that their school is going to play host to some mysterious guests—code name: Blackthorne. Then she's blamed for a security breach that leaves the school's top secret status at risk.
Soon, Cammie and her friends are crawling through walls and surveilling the school to learn the truth about Blackthorne and clear Cammie's name. Even though they have confidence in their spy skills, this time the targets are tougher (and hotter), and the stakes for Cammie's heart—and her beloved school—are higher than ever.
Pipers Review: First can I please just say BOYS!!! But I guess if girls understood boys than we wouldn’t have so much problems with them and we wouldn’t constantly be saying BOYS!!! On the more serious note I would like to let everyone know that…..The Gallagher Girl Series IS OFFICIALLY MY FAVORITE SERIES!! I mean I LOVED the first one and I was thinking that it was going to be my favorite series but you never know. Sometimes you get a really good first book and not so good second one! But Cross My Heart and Hope to SPY definitely sits up at the top with the first book in the series! It had exactly the same feeling of I-am-the-main-character-doing-everything-in-the-book-and-feeling-everything-the-actual-main-character-feels. It is just BRILLIANT! I’d like to personally say Thank You to the author for giving me these books! I know, I know, I’m such a crazy, obsessive, teenage, fangirl! But It’s how I roll ;)
I hate to admit it, but my friend over at peaceloveandfangirl was right! Zach is totally my type of guy! I thought I would never get over Josh until Zach. Yeah I hated him at first and was in total denial that I could ever like him and that he was my type of guy…….but then I realized….he is! I thought I liked Josh, but believe me that must have been puppy love cause I LOVE Zach! He is cocky, arrogant, sarcastic, smartass, sensitive, beautiful, real, well… boy. The thing is that Josh is a dream boy. Cause hello you come by maybe one of Josh type guys every few years and they usually don’t stay in your life for more then a few minutes. But Zach….well yeah he is like most boys that stick around and you just realize you love after a while! I might be saying this cause I know a real guy who acts just like Zach and I have had a total crush on him for like ever. But uhh shhh ya’ll don’t need to go blabbing about that ;)
I really enjoyed the stuff that Cammie was doing more in this book. I liked the work that the girls had to do, I liked the boys coming to the school, I liked the missions they had more in this book. Maybe because they were a bit more exciting and made my stomach twist, tighten, rise, and fall, with all the emotion and action that was going on! I felt even more into it. I am very interested in finding out more about Cams father and I hope the author reveals it to her readers in the next books (which I totally need to go buy!). I hope we also see more of her mom and her friends in the next ones as well. And yes of course I want to see more of Zach…lol! Mr. Mosckowitz was great in this book and I hope his character stays in the whole series cause he brings a lot of laughter and smiles to the read! All the teachers were great of course, except Mr. Solomon. For some reason I’m just not sure about him……
Well that is all I have to say on this book I think. I’m going to cry now since I don’t have the other books yet! Whahhhh! Lol.
